Results

Achieved perfect seal on several containers, user test received positive review, notably “easy to pop it on”.

Testing also discovered that pressing down on the middle of the lid can create a “vacuum” seal in most cases.

Limitations

• The pull tabs can be made smaller or in different shape to better fit with the overall aesthetics.

• Textured grips were not tested on the prototype due to limitations on the molding equipment.

• Thickness of the lid can be reduced to save cost with more research on material choice.

• Unable to acquire the ideal material for the model.
