Features

The idea was to create a music box with removable drum so different tones/music can be played. A good quality brass core can produce better tones, encouraging kids to engage in music.

  • Old school music box with a twist

  • PE plastic shell, brass core

Afterthought

  • Non-standard size for music box, require custom drum and spindle size.

  • Large compared to traditional music box.

  • Require additional storage for different tones (drums).

  • May consider adopting the design for different shapes (dogs, wabbit…)

  • Injection molding the plastic shell should cut down the cost, casting the metal base also contributes.
